We are delighted to be able to offer the Telink Yak EPP. The Yak 55 was designed in collaboration Ido Segev from Israel and the well known Bohemiam show pilot George Jarolímek Jnr. Their development and testing produced the ultimate EPP model – the Telink Yak 55. Released in the later part of 2009 this model is emerging as one of the must have models of 2010 with many of the UK’s best freestyle pilots electing the Telink Yak as their favourite EPP model of choice. Just check out the professional flyers forum HighAlpha.org and see what people are saying about this model to be left with no doubt that this is ‘the’ model.
It’s not hard to see why this model is proving so successful. Firstly the model looks fantastic – the George Jarolímek scheme is highly individual, but secondly the model can be flown with low cost components and still achieves stellar performance. All the videos shown on this site of this model are being flown with moderate power set-ups. We have listed the exact components that are being utilised by some of the best European pilots that are currently flying a Yak. Look at Ido’s set-up and watch the video – he’s using a 2217 motor that is just the same as the DYS version we are selling. This is one top end model that does not require top end equipment to get the best from it. Manufactured from tough EPP that has been accurately CNC cut you will have the model assembled in a couple of evenings. No specialist tools or equipment is required.
The removable wing version (RWV) of the Telink Yak offers all the great flying abilities of the fixed wing version with the added versatility of a two piece wing. This allows all those with limited storage space or transport restrictions to consider the Yak as a viable option and experience this fantastic EPP design. The removable wing version features a steel wing joiner with pre-cut wing slots and cap strips that accept the carbon tubes. The fuselage of the RWV version differs from the standard fixed wing version with the addition of a composite support box for the steel joiner. The box is rigidly locked into the fuselage by the twin carbon rods that run along both sides of the fuselage and the wings retained by bands. The remaining elements of the kit are unchanged.
Required radio and servo type:
A minimum of a 4 channel radio, preferably at least 5 channel with mixing ability for aileron differential or flaperon. We would highly recommend that a 2.4GHz radio is utilised for effective interference rejection.
4-5 channel receiver. If using a four channel receiver a Y-lead will be required.
4 x MG90 or MG16R metal gear servos
2 x 250mm servo extension leads for ailerons plus 2 x 300mm for elevator and rudder. The lengths required may vary depending on the servo type.
