CA adhesives or Cyanoacrylates to use their correct title appear in various grades and most importantly various prices. The truth is most modellers can’t spot the difference between one brand and another in use. Some may appear to have a shorter shelf life or bond that little bit quicker. Unfortunately most of the differences experienced are more a result of storage and product age than a particular product issue. In reality most CA’s are similar when comparable viscosities are used side by side. The truth is that there are only a handful of CA producers in the World so most brands available are re-branded products. It amazing what affect a label can have!

In our normal quest to bring products that work at affordable prices we have changed CA brands from an extremely well known International brand to a little known UK brand. It’s really good to say this product is actually manufactured in the UK by the countries sole CA producer. Have no doubt that the quality is up there with the Worlds best.

We are stocking Vitalbond Cyanoacrylate in 4 different grades.

Vitalbond Medium CA is ideal for its gap filing ability and slower cure. Medium always proves to be the popular viscosity thanks to its longer working time and universal uses. Medium CA is ideal when working with EPP foam as it resists running through the grain of the foam. Vitalbond Medium CA sets in approximately 20 seconds. Activator or kicker can be used to create an instant bond or where fillet forming may be required. We would recommend Zap kicker. Vitalbond CA cures clear so no unsightly glue lines.

All our Vitalbond adhesives are fresh and stored correctly. We don’t buy in huge quantities to keep out costs down, but in much smaller quantities to ensure that we always offer the freshest available.

Vitalbond CA’s are currently supplied in 20g (7/10oz) bottles that feature a non clog screw down lid to ensure no more clogged tips.
